Dear Mr. & Mrs. Schermerhorn:

We are so very sorry for your unimaginable and devastating loss. We had the opportunity to meet Ryer at Grand Master Marretti's Martial Arts School, Super Kids, where our daughter Brianna took lessons with him.
Ryer was such a kind, well-mannered young man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. R.I.P Ryer!

Ryer, we will miss you. We first met you when we were starting Superkids. We saw how hard you worked. You always gave your best. It made us want to work hard, too. We will miss you. Merry Christmas in heaven. Love from "the twins" Mary and Dan. Hugs. High fives and a fist bump.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Shermerhorn, I am so sorry for your great loss. Words cannot do justice for what an amazing young man Ryer was. His friendly personality, helpfulness, and boundless inquisitiveness will be greatly missed by me and everyone at FSW. He was a positive influence in our world and made it a better place. I extend my thoughts, prayers and condolences to you and your family during this difficult time.

Ryer was an amazing kid. I took Tae Kwan Do with him. I was always partnered with the sweet little boy named Ryer. Then I started going to high school with him. I remembered him. He was an intelligent, sweet and caring boy and that's how we all will remember him. He always cared for others. He was a very special kid. FSW will never be the same. We love you Ryer.

I didn't know Ryer well as I was two grades ahead of him. However, everytine I saw him he was smiling, friendly and kind to everyone he encountered. Mr. and Mrs. Schermerhorn, I want you to know that your son will be missed, not just by family and friends, but by the entire FSWC community. He made our school a brighter place and he touched the lives of many. May the kingdom of Heaven belong to Ryer. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Karen, Scott and Family,

Words cannot express enough the sympathy I feel for the loss of your son Ryer. I remember Ryer from Cub Scouts Pack 301. He was such a curious and smart young man. He was always asking questions and was not shy at all. Whatever was causing him pain and hurt is now gone and he is your Angel watching down upon you. God Bless you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
