Joseph Donald Goldberg Obituary

JOSEPH DONALD GOLDBERG, 75, of Port Charlotte, Florida and formerly of Ocean City, NJ died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 at Bayfront Health-Port Charlotte.

Joseph was born July 7, 1939 in Augusta, Maine to the late Charles and Nellie Goldberg. Joe was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. He moved to Port Charlotte 10 years ago from Ocean City, but still enjoyed his summers in Ocean City. Before retiring in 2002, with 46 years of service, he was employed by Acme Markets and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Joe was predeceased by his loving wife Geri. He is survived by a daughter, Gwen Fritsch, Son-in-law Tom Fritsch, and 2 grandchildren Jordan and Avery Fritsch all of Lancaster, PA; three sisters, Cynthia Goldberg, Evelyn Long, and Regina Clifton all of Port Charlotte; a brother, Charles Richards of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Memorial service will be held Saturday, 11am January 10, 2015 at Saint Maximilian Kolbe 200 W. Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, New Jersey.
