Ryer Thomas Schermerhorn Obituary

I know it has been a long time, so I am sorry to Mr. and Mrs. Schermerhorn if this causes distress of any kind, but I was reminded of Ryer recently, and I didn't voice my feelings here when he was lost, despite having many of them. I know it has been a long time, so I am sorry to Mr. and Mrs. Schermerhorn if this causes distress of any kind, but I was reminded of Ryer recently, and I didn't voice my feelings here when he was lost, despite having many of them. To this day I remember Ryer as the first person who stood up for me. I remember how surprised I was when someone was there to support me, against the ill will of others. Oftentimes we dont let people know how much we appreciate their actions until it is too late, and this is definitely the case with me and Ryers friendship. While I cant speak for others, I can say that he had a profound and lasting impact on me. To this day, I try my hardest to remind those who I care about how much their little actions mean to me. Ryer was truly one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I have met in my entire life, and even now I miss him.

Thank you for being there for me when I needed you Ryer.

Scouting connected us to your wonderful son Ryer, and we are devastated to learn of your loss. Leeson was a friend and Sniperz patrol mate of Ryer and was very sad to learn of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Although I did not know Ryer as a young man, I know he must have been a wonderful person because he was raised by the two of you. Always remember the good times you shared and keep these memories in your heart forever.

It is with great sadness and an extremely heavy heart that we must share our condolences to the Schermerhorn family. Ryer was a kind and wonderful young man. The world has suffered a great loss. We were given the opportunity to have Ryer in our scuba diving classes and to share his love of diving with him and his father Scott.

It is with a very heavy heart that we give our deepest condolences to Karen and Scott from the Jameson family. We cannot even begin to imagine your pain and what you are going through right now. BJ and Ryer practically grew up in Troop 100 together and shared many good times, memories that will last a lifetime. He will be missed, our hearts break for you.

I was only informed tonight at our scout meeting and I'm not sure if I was a friend to ryer but we talked a lot and hung out on campouts. I was so devastated by this new I cried non stop. Ryer was the first scout to talk to me in a kind and caring way. He was so nice to everyone and funny too. He was an excellent leader and definitely deserved eagle. He was
