Melanie K. Patrick, 56, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Tidewell Hospice Inc. in Port Charlotte.

Melanie was born on June 30, 1958 in Northampton County, PA and moved to Port Charlotte in 2004 from Lehigh Acres, FL. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, sister in law and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Sarah-Lyn Patrick of Tampa, FL; 3 brothers, Matthew-Michael Patrick of Portland, OR, Joshua-James Patrick of Tampa, FL and Shawn-Paul Patrick of Port Charlotte; her parents, Carl A. & Rose B. Deck of Port Charlotte; her brother, Carl A. Deck, Jr. of MI and a sister in law, Debbi Zies of MD.

Visitation will be held 12:00PM-2:00PM with a scripture service to follow at 2:00PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Inurnment will be held at a later date by the family.

Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.

Melanie was the best big sister even though, I was a foster sister You will be greatly missed . I remember calling rose and Melanie would be in background saying Hi BJ. When I heard the news my heart was broken . love you and always will bj

I greatly admired Melanie and thought she was a very strong person, a real fighter. She leaves behind that legacy for her family. I always loved her casserole contributions to the festive holiday dinners I was so kindly invited to attend.
