Dear Sherry,
I read 'The Times' every morning and before I get to the obituaries I always say a little prayer that I won't see a familiar name. But this morning my heart just sank when I saw Richard Goodwin from Florida. I hoped it was some other Goodwin. But as I read further, my heart broke for you, Rick and Sean.
I suppose we'll never know why such terrible losses happen to such nice people. I can only imagine your sorrow, having lost both your son and Rick's brother Harold. You know we think of you often and always hope you're doing well. At this time, I pray that God will hold all of you in His hand and see you through the rough times ahead. Our very sincere sympathy.

Sherry, Rick and Sean,
We just heard the news today about Ricky and are in complete shock. I cannot begin to find the words to tell you how sorry we all are. I have so many good childhood memories of growing up with the boys and my mom babysitting them. I pray that you all can find peace in such a horrific time. Please know that you are in our thoughts here in Indiana. I wish we were able to attend the services but we are all praying and thinking of you. Our hearts go out to you all.

My deepest sympathies to you old friends. Ricky sure became a handsome young man. I looked for Harold's obituary but didn't find it. Please express my sympathies to Roberta & Little Harold. May peace be with all of you. I so remember Ricky fishing at the lake as a little boy. He loved it even back then.

Richard, Sherry & Sean Goodwin & extended family members.
It is with great sadness and shock that I learn of the sudden and untimely passing of "Rick."
I had what I consider to have been a pleasure to meet " Rick," through his Uncle Harold. Having been a neighbour of Harold and Roberta for this past winter, I know full well of the bonding between them was very evident.
I had many conversations with Rick about where I live in Canada, the fishing, the weather, the employment and whatever. Likewise he told me much about his employment and employer and his love of work.
I shared a few stories with both he and Harold and was awaken late one night when they caught a beautiful " snook," off the dock.
Rick was a person that I got to befriend very easily as was his Uncle Harold.
I am sure he has many friends that will miss him dearly a well..
You have lost a Son, a brother, a nephew but I have truly lost a friend.
May you RIP Rick. God Bless.
