Carolyn Webb Rucker, 74, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

Born June 13, 1932 in Shelby, North Carolina, Carolyn, a wife, mother and grandmother, moved to Port Charlotte in 1986 from her native Shelby. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority.

Survivors include her beloved husband Phil Rucker Sr., four sons, Will (wife-Tina) Rucker of Shelby, NC, Phil (wife-Jeannie) Rucker Jr. of Hamptonville, NC, Jim Rucker and Tim (wife-Laura) Rucker all of Shelby, NC; one brother Giles (wife-Peggy) Webb Jr. of Shelby, NC, ten grandchildren, Nancy, Anna, Erin, Rae, Jacob, Christy, Patrick, McKenzie, K.C., and Jessie Rucker, and several nieces and nephews.
