Charles C. Purificato, 77, of Lake Suzy, Florida, formerly of Cincinnati, died Sunday, July 23, 2006 in Port Charlotte at the TideWell Hospice and Palliative Care House.

Born July 21, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Charles, a retired construction estimator for the Process Construction Company of Cincinnati, retired to Florida in 1992, settling in Lake Suzy in 2000. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member Evanston-Eversull Masonic Lodge 0695 in Norwood, Ohio, the B.P.O. Elks Lodge 2763 in Deep Creek, Port Charlotte, FL, and the Port Charlotte Country Club.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Orma J. Purificato of Lake Suzy, one granddaughter Carrie Kearns, one great grandson Robbie Kearns, and one great granddaughter Haley Lennig, all of Fairfield, Ohio; one step-daughter Terre (husband - Mark) Globig of Hamilton, OH, one step-daughter-in-law Kathy Johnson, and 5 step-grandchildren, Kristi (husband - Eric) Laycock, Cody Globig, and Michelle, Kelly and Danny Johnson. Charles was preceded in death by his first wife Janet, daughter Jan and a step-son, Jonnie Johnson.
