George M. Hayden, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.
He was born May 14, 1922 in Jamaica, West Indies and moved to Port Charlotte in 1989 from Chicago, IL. He was a retired cabin service worker for United Airlines in Chicago. George was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his loving wife, Icill Louise Hayden; five daughters, Helene Folkes, Mignonette Hayden, Jacqueline (Thomas) Johnson, Andrea Hayden and Donna Hayden; two sons, Earl Woodham and George Hayden, Jr.; a sister, Linda (George) Nicholas; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
There will be a viewing from 9:00 AM with funeral service at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 11, 2012 at St. James Episcopal Church. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.
