Gesuele Tartaglia, 71, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte.
Gesuele was born November 22, 1940 In Italy and moved to Port Charlotte 8 years ago from Bridgeport, Connecticut. He was an amazing man who worked very hard to provide for his family. Gesuele retired from Pepperidge Farm in 2005. He worked at Bridgeport Brass of South Norwalk, CT for many years. He was an avid Bocce player and was very active with riding his bicycle. His most memorable moments in life was always spending time with his grandchildren. Gesuele was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will always be remembered and loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Teresa; 2 sons, Anthony (Gale) Tartaglia of Shelton, CT and Domenic (Susan) Tartaglia of Milford, CT; a daughter, Carmela (Sabino) Falconieri of Shelton, CT; a sister, Carmela Tartaglia-Valle of Italy; a brother, Pasquale (Connie) Tartaglia of Norwalk, CT; 8 grandchildren, Joseph, Dana, Anthony, Michael, Kristina, Robert, Jenna and Amanda; his beloved sister in laws, Maria and Robert Hemingway and Carmela and Achille Battaglia; and his brother in laws, Generoso and Elpidio Rauccio. He was preceded in death by his loving brother, Nuzio Tartaglia.
Visitation will be 5:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, February 17, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Entombment will follow to Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, FL.
