Joseph was born September 5, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Port Charlotte 30 years ago from long Island, New York. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served proudly for the U.S. Navy. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Patricia Longo; a son, Joseph Longo, Jr. of North Port, FL; a daughter, Christine Longo of Port Charlotte, FL; 2 brothers, Arthur Longo of Port Charlotte and Vincent Longo of Oceanside, NY; 4 grandchildren, Tyler, Kimberly, Katelyn and Joseph, III and 1 great-grandchild, Madison.
