MARY T. ROSCH, 84, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Friday, June 15, 2012 at home. Her last wish was to spend her final days at home. Her family felt truly blessed that they were able to fulfill this wish for her.
Mary was born Mary 7, 1928 in New York, New York to James and Helen McCullough and was a graduate of Cathedral High School in New York City. She moved to Port Charlotte 20 years ago from Lake Ronkonkoma, NY and was a faithful member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church of Port Charlotte. Mary was one of the kindest and most giving people known to Our Savior. She was always generous and loving to all of God's creatures, both two-legged and four-legged. Mary was also an avid and happy bingo player.
She is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Maureen Rosch of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Ann M. Tyler, and her husband, William P. Tyler of North Port, FL; a brother, James McCullough of Livingston, NY; a son-in-law, Jon Warner of Port Charlotte; two most beloved grandsons, Patrick F. and Trevor S. Warner of Port Charlotte; and many other beloved family members and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, Francis W. Rosch; a daughter, Patricia Warner; her sister, Helen Dunn; her brother, John McCullough, and her parents, James and Helen McCullough.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 17, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home's Port Charlotte Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 2:00 PM, June 18, 2012 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church. Mary will be intered with her late husband, Francis at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, located at 1441 Spear Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 and/or to Tidewell Hospice, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238, whose caring staff helped, make her passing into her next life pain-free and peaceful.
